For some reason this song has been rattling around in my head for the last day or so.  I don't know why...I wasn't a huge fan of the guy at any point in his music career.  John Lennon, when he first heard it opined that the artist was the new Bing Crosby.  But as ELO once said in a song...."I can't get it out of my head."

Apparently this song inspired John Lennon to come out of retirement.  He recognized the female singers' style as a copy of Yoko's.  The song went to number 1, but more importantly Lennon produced Double Fantasy after getting inspired.

This song was made popular by Glen Campbell, back in the 70's.  Although he was a great songwriter (and a terrific guitarist) he didn't write it.  This guy did.

I have always liked those instrumental arrangements like that. Have lots of them on my phone. Always thought that was a Glen Campbell song, Interesting to hear the original, still prefer the Campbell version though.
