Installed the battery in the ST-1100. She fired right up within a few seconds. It was 8 degrees in the sunshine today, so I did a slow ride through my mobile park and all seems well with the old girl. Just have to check the tire pressures and then I can go for a real ride one of these fine days. Perhaps rushing the season just a teen bit, but my right wrist has an itch that doesn't seem to go away.

All right but looks like Friday morning if everything works out, I usually make plans at the last minute...might have that H1 done by then
maybe I'll take for the test ride to GR instead of giving it back to Neil

That does look good. It highlights the polished fins on the engine a lot better.

Changed the oil in the Z1 today and decided to head to Horseshoe Bay. It was a nice ride down the Sea to Sky, but I got slowed up through Britannia by an accident and again just outside Lions Bay by a police car with his lights flashing at the side of the road. I pulled off on Marine Drive and stopped at the first pull out because I thought I could smell oil. Sure enough...I had forgotten to put the cap back on after I put new oil in the bike. About a half litre had siphoned out and spread all along the left side of my bike. Luckily the cap was still where I had put it...next to the crank breather, so I was able to put it back on and stop the leak. While heading home I decided to head to Squambucks first for a hot chocolate, and just as I got there my rear tire went flat. It's almost worn out anyway, so I wasn't too worried, but I needed to get home to wash th eoil off the bike and take the flat tire off. Some guy had a can of the goo you put in a flat tire, so I bought it off him and put it in the tire. It didn't do very much good, but I only needed to go a couple of blocks, so I headed home and got out the ZEP to take the oil off. Well....things always come in threes....ZEP is an oxidizer so all my winter polishing on the engine went for naught. It's all now a nice dull aluminum.
Maybe things come in fours, not threes. I think I'll leave the tire til tomorrow.
