   This is a good price.
I'm not totally on board with this particular oil, especially as there are better oils out there with higher independently tested capability, even within Shell's Rotella line of oils. Shell's T4 15-40 oil is tested JASO MA2 capability, where their T6 is only JASO MA. I'm disappointed that non of the Rotella oils have 15W-50 or 20W-50 viscosity, as I'd run it in literally all my bikes and lawn mower.
For explanation, JASO is the Japanese based independent laboratory hired to test oils, much like U.S. based API. JASO MA2 is currently the most stringent testing level indicating wet clutch capability, higher long chain molecules to offset the sheering effects of meshing gears in a gearbox, and higher than normal zinc additive for air cooled heat and lubrication.

i just bought a 19.2 litre barrel of 15W-40 T4 from Cdn Tire, on sale for $109.99. Now its $129.99.

Ok.  That’s a good deal if you’re already in the US, or plan to go there anyway, or you’re getting other things that are cheaper than here, or you live really close to the border.  On your credit card, that would be ~8.25 CDN/lt.  Canadian Tire has 18.7lt pails on sale for what works out to $9.09/lt.  Is it worth going across the border, with all that that entails, cost of gas, mileage on your vehicle, time etc?

Actually, at Canadian Tire, those 18.9 l tubs @$199 work out to $10.50/l.  My cost on the Walmart deal worked out to $8/l after exchange.   I bought 28.5l so at $2.50/l saving, that's $71 saved.  In addition, I'll fill my tank and save another $28, all while I was going there anyway to pick up some other parts (and my hourly rate, with the recent increase for inflation, is just under $0.00/hr  Wink).  I have Nexus so zero drama or wait crossing the border.  So, ya, definitely worth while if one is close to the border.
