Electronic Resistance Lesson
«
on:
April 05, 2023, 04:36:28 PM »
Wednesday's coffee gave me a lesson in resistance. Electronic resistance, and its properties in protecting electronic components from "backed up' electrical pulses. I just got home to discover on my Norton, equipped with aftermarket Boyer Bransdon electronic ignition, that while my NGK copper spark plug wires DO NOT have resister tips, I am using an NGK BPR7ES resister plug.
Thankyou for shop class today lads!!!!

Ah yes, plug and lead resistance and where/when to use them is something seldom properly considered. Especially when you have the older point-less ignition systems or even more critical you are using magneto sparks !
People seldom use their radio so radio-interference is not much of an issue these days.

Do they bother offering signal/noise ratio, with the wind noise?

I've never used the radio while riding. One of the speakers needs to be changed out so I don't even like the sound when parked. There is a CB as well that I've never used.

I should have clarified, and mentioned radios and loud pipes.
