I've noticed the price of stuff going up, like everyone else. Recently I heard on the news that certain foods have gone up big time.  Margarine, pasta, lettuce they are saying 40-60%. Well, engine oil, nothing special, we're talking about 5W-30 car oil, 5w-20.  It's gone up at least 100% in the last year. 5 litre jug of Castrol used to be $19-23, now it's on sale for $44-48. What the heck!!!!!

  Yeah, big prices.
I remember, 10 years ago, a friend on mine had a Neighbour who was a local rep for ELF Motor Oil out of France. He was retiring and moving, and, needed his inventory of oil 'gone' out of his garage. Stacks, cases, hundreds of cases. All full synthetic JASO MA 2 motorcycle oil, 20w-50 and 15W-40, and some full synthetic 2 stroke. I bought 25 cases at $2 a litre. Sold 80% on Craigslist at a massive profit, $8 each. Didn't buy oil for atleast 7-8 years.  I miss those days.

$10 per liter for 0w20 at the co-op last week

Oil change at the GM dealer set me back $107.
