Terrible news I just got, the passing of George Dockery last night, October 24/22. Incredibly skilled tuner and restorer, and retired professional pilot, insanely brilliant, and fun and happy dude,  he’s been an integral part of the classic motorcycle scene for decades here.

This is a real tough one.

Very sad news. I was in correspondence with him about 6 weeks ago to help me with one of my bikes. He was prompt and gracious in reply but declined the work, citing health concerns. I'm sure he'll be missed by all who knew him. I have a pair of his cast-off valve covers on my green Moto Guzzi so I have a small momento.

About the same time I heard that Paul Brodie was also battling serious health issues. He posted a new video on YouTube (a history of his Excelsior project pursuit) just a couple days ago stating he is back from an extended hospital stint but still continuing treatment. Here's wishing him the best. Another gentleman in our hobby.

Damn that sucks.
Super talented guy, his work was amazing.
He'll be missed.
