Picked this up from the the guy I got the RF from. 87 GSXR1100, tatty but all there, stock exhaust (rare), solo seat, tank is iffy. I hurt my back sitting on it in the shop, LOL.

  Ok this one has my attention. Uncomfortable? Yes, no apology. All business oil cooled monster engine. This is a time machine of the early Japanese true early Superbike . Well done!!!

It is a tight fit. I think it would be a 20 minute ride for me with my height of 6' 3" and 6 knee operations. 800$ for this one too, cheap at twice the price.

  I spent 2 hrs on an RC30 Saturday, with destroyed knees. Inspirational legend Sportbikes are worth the ‘discomfort’.

Got the "redneck" tumbler out of retirement to help rattle some flaky crap out of the replacement tank I picked up. I had it in a vertical position first then made the wood platform to get a different abrasive action. I have been using drywall screws and  slingshot ammo inside.

Awesome bikes. Tough as nails. I have a “ from new” 1986 GSXR1100. I actually found it fairly comfy. Riding one in traffic on a hot day is a bit of a bitch with lots of radiant heat. A great motor even by today’s standards. Handles great on tight, bumpy and sometimes dirty back roads. On a “good air day” it will easily lift the front wheel in second.  I bought it to replace a VF1000 Honda which was top heavy and handled like crap thx to the 16 inch front . Riding the Honda fast was like “dancing with a fat girl in high heels” .  It could be done but you had to pay attention. The Suzuki was a big upgrade. If you get a chance to buy a good one do it!

On the rust remover topic.....apple cider vinegar works wonderfully to remove rust inside a tank.  Rinse out quickly with water and baking soda once done.

Picked up 3 litres of reg vinegar. Will try that first. Many people have opinions on POR15 or Kreem?

I used the POR15 Motorcycle tank kit on a severely rusted 900F tank.  Everything needed to clean, strip out the rust, and coat the inside of the tank.  That was more than 20 years ago and the liner is still holding up fine.
