A beautiful song, not written by Charlie but sung by him.  He had the perfect voice for it.

Here is a song with the perfect voice for it.

This is a light song from a guy from Mali.  I didn't hear his music until after he was dead.  Hard to follow him after that.

A great guitar player and singer, this guy teamed up with just about everyone on the planet.  Here is a rocking blues song with a pretty good pianist.

Here is another famous guitar riff intro by a band that keeps on touring.  This song is from the mid-60's.

Here is a band with a unique drum sound.  Drums almost always sound the same, but not this group.

On this date, September 5th, 1967,  Louis Armstrong released the single “What a Wonderful World”.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VqhCQZaH4Vs&pp=ygUmbG91aXMgYXJtc3Ryb25nIHdoYXQgYSB3b25kZXJmdWwgd29ybGQ%3D

World" is a song written by Bob Thiele (as "George Douglas") and George David Weiss. It was first recorded by Louis Armstrong and released in 1967 as a single. In April 1968, it topped the pop chart in the United Kingdom,[3] but performed poorly in the United States because Larry Newton, the president of ABC Records, disliked the song and refused to promote it.

After it was heard in the film Good Morning, Vietnam, it was reissued as a single in 1988, and rose to number 32 on the Billboard Hot 100.[4] Armstrong's recording was inducted to the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999.

I like that song!  I think I've posted it before.  Louis Armstrong had a man's voice!

Here is another song that begins with a great guitar riff.  And some steady driving drumming.

R.I.P.  Sergio Mendes, September 6th, 2024, in Angeles.
Too many great songs, too much information to go over, I’ll run them all!
And won’t even try to list the stars who have taken his songs to the top of the charts, notably Herb Albert.

Back around 1978 the album with this song was recommended to me.  I bought it and have been a fan ever since.
