50 years ago, the Rolling Stones released an album that was panned by the experts, even though one track became a big hit. Of course I had to buy it, Stones were the band for me back then. This track has a very strange title, and the words still ring true today. Love it. Still gets the feet tapping away.     https://youtu.be/D2-uzhyoEyA?si=AIamN2vfiJuY79Do

October 12, 1970, The 5th Dimension released the single “One Less Bell To Answer”. It reached #2 on the Billboard 100.
The 5th Dimension, with the incredible harmony capability and the lead voice of Marilyn McCoo, they didn’t need electronic voice enhancement.
Here’s their live performance of this song on the Ed Sullivan Show.

Goats Head Soup...maybe the critics didn't like the album name!  Lots of good songs on it though.

This song knocked the Beatles off the top of the charts in 1964.  Notice that the guitar player is imitating John Lennon's stance.

We recently lost one of the Isley Brothers, another great group from the 60’s and70’s.  This song really showcases their abilities, and I think it is one of their best.   https://youtu.be/BW8-BRnbV-Q?si=kjy6U4ME50zkXEwC

British Invasion. I was too slow with the Zombies and Dave Clark, so how about this duo. Super harmonies, one of two big hits for them in 64.     https://youtu.be/vfvL2oLeBYs?si=4Nt6G7s2b4La0dWh

Here is another British duo who were popular back in the 60's.  Most of their songs were written by Paul McCartney.

This guy's signature was his dark sun glasses.

This guy has had a magnificent career as a singer and songwriter.  Like the Beatles he wasn't afraid to experiment and move out of his comfort zone.  He enjoyed playing with other musicians as well.  He's still recording, having recently released a new album.  This song is one of his older ones, sung with one of my favourite groups.

Saw him in Spokane about 4 years ago. Amazing show and always surrounded with incredible talent. He is having issues with his voice I thought? Would catch a show of his again for sure.
