Back from a fishing trip to northern saskatchewan.

I liked this trucking song when it first came out in the early 60's, but I liked it even more when this group covered it.  I think it's even better than the original.

Celebrating his 72nd birthday today.  My how the years pass!  Seems like only yesterday he burst on the music scene.

This is a fairly new song, sung in an old style.  I think it will eventually be a classic, like Dock of the Bay.

Some people say the Rolling Stones are the best rock band ever.  I think the Beatles were best ever, but I also think the two bands are in different categories.  After their first couple of years Beatles were a studio group, but to their credit Rolling Stones have always been a live touring band.

This group appeared in the mid 1970's and was thought to be the Beatles reincarnated.  They weren't, but the thought made them more popular than they maybe should have been.  I bought this album and enjoyed this song from it.  Catchy song title.

There have been numerous lawauits over music copyright over the decades.  One of the more famous ones was George Harrison's "My Sweet Lord", which used a melody that was very similar to "He's so Fine" by the Chiffons.  It cost Harrison around $1.5 milliion in penalties.  A more recent case involved this song by an equally famous group, but the court ruled in favour of the group.

This group appeared in the sixties and had a few nice hits.  A couple of members kept going after the group broke up.  This was in my view one of the group's two most popular songs.

This was also their song.  I remember dancing to the beat.

This group was part of the British invasion that followed the Beatles.  Not sure what happened to them, as they made some good music.
