This was a one hit wonder from the 80's.  I remember listening to it as I built a rec room in my new house.  I was living in Marathon and working in the Hemlo gold fields at the time.

This band has been around for a while, playing their unique version of rock and roll.  This song starts off with a definitely cheeky "up yours" attitude that I love in rock music.  It was what attracted me to it as a teenager.  And what still makes it fresh and saucy.

I remember watching him sing that song on Johnny Cash's mid 60's variety program.  Felt proud to be a Canadian.

In 1967 I worked at the exhibition on one of the rides in Saskatoon to make a little money to spend at Expo.  For three weeks this song played time after time.  Nowadays whenever I hear it I'm reminded of the small of the carny.

This band was very big on the East coast back in the 70's.  They toured out West, and I saw them in Saskatoon around 1980.  The harp player was great.
