Yes, I agree.  I like Alain Toussaint but his version of this song seems to lack continuity in spots.  Campbell's version was very smooth.

This guy has been around for a long long time.  This song brought him to world wide notice, despite having a singing voice that sounded like pulling a needle across the record.

Yeh, Rod Stewart, very popular, and I think that song made him for sure. Had a couple of his albums.  I’m going to go Canadian here, like this band. This song has a very long and cool intro, love it, gets cranked up every time it shuffles through the list.               https://youtu.be/sTFVMMCwsss

I didn't realize they were Canadian.  Great band!

This guy has a great voice.  He wrote and sang this song, considered one of the greatest of its genre.

I never much liked this guy back in the day.  Somehow he managed to survive without my recommendation.   This is one of his more electric songs from back then.

Here's a long forgotten instrumental by a vastly under rated guitar player.

This group had several dozen pop hits back in the 70's befor breaking up.  I hear they are back together.  The song is about reflections on one's life, and conviction that there is life after death.

When asked what was his favourite Beatles song Paul replied with this tune, written by John and him.

I wuz confused on Black Water.  I thought it meant that Doobie Brothers covered Black Water, but it's a cover of Doobie Brothers Black Water.

This is an oldie but a goodie, written and performed by Mr Mack the Knife himself.

As a long time Beatles admirer I had watched that video some time ago.  All of the Beatles were great on their own but I think George had the best success in the period until he died.  If John hadn't decided to leave the Beatles I think George would have done it because he had so many songs he wanted them to record but was frustrated by the Lennon/McCartney stranglehold on album space.  Nowadays I play the Sirius Beatles channel when I'm driving and am always pleased when a George song comes on.  This one from Revolver is one of my favourites.  The words are very descriptive.
