Naomi Judd passed away yesterday.  She was 76, which surprised me because that's five years older than me.  Cause of death appears to be self inflicted.  Along with her daughter she produced a bunch of hits in the 80's and 90's.  Their voices were perfect complements for each other as can be heard in this song.

Walking through London’s West end early one evening I came across a Pub with a sign out front advertising a band to perform later that night. I had heard of them, just had a minor hit, and figured I would go back and check it out. Sat in the back, nursing my beer, and waited. Some time later they walk to a small stage set up and do their thing. For sure one of the better acts I have seen. This band had aa couple of hits in the 70's & 80's but the lead singer died and the band folded.  The lead guitarist went back to school and earned a PhD in astro physics.  He then re-formed the band a couple of years ago with a new lead singer.  They are touring and recording again.

It was 1968 and I was in first year engineering.  I spent a lot of time at the student center learning how to play bridge.  This song was popular, I think because the singer sounded fresh and innocent.  As far as I remember it was her one and only hit.
