This guy is considered the father of rock and roll.  I remember this song well...it was one that I used to practice whistling to.  That thing in his ear is because he was deaf.

This singer is a classy lady who died too soon.  The song is from the 60's and nowadays would be seen as quite sexist.  But it's still a good song.

I've heard several versions of this song but this original is the one I like most.  It was written by a country singer but it's probably better known as a creole song.

Travelling the world with a small film and recording team, producers Johnson and Enzo Buono developed a mobile recording studio (originally powered by golf cart batteries) for recording and filming musicians live outdoors, and progressively editing all the separate artists, blending all into one performance as PFC travelled from artist to artist, country to country. Starting with a studio made demo in the right key and tempo, "we would deconstruct [the track]" as each recorded musician or singer could listen with headphones to what had been recorded before them, and playing the same song, adding into the mix their own style. [5][6] For the project Johnson has recorded and filmed music in more than 50 countries across the world.[7]

That was great Rick!  I've seen a couple in that style and I think I posted one a few months ago.  My father took up the accordian at the age of 90.  He passed away three years later and I inherited his instrument, which I gave to my daughter because she has some musical talent...at least far more than me.  Unfortunately she's busy getting a degree in medicine so has little time to practice.

This song is what happens when you combine traditional Newfoundland music with traditional Ukrainian music.  The band is hilariously called the Kubasonics.

This was the first of a long line of hits by this group.  It was written by Smokey Robinson and was produced by Motown's famed Barry Gordy.  The group has gone through many iterations but is still active today.
