You sure about that tube shaped object he's playing?

Great composer, not much loved in his time because he wasn't "following the rules" but he created some incredible pieces for piano.

The opening riff on this tune is probably as well known, maybe better known than the riff from Beethoven's 5th symphony.  An amazing opening riff, a strong backbeat and a great singing voice.  All in one song.

Bach: Toccata & Fugue played on the largest pipe organ ever built, A Midmer - Losh organ built in the 1920s in Atlantic City.

It's being played a little too fast but the sound is incredible for the age of the recording. I'd love to hear this in person.

U Vic has a beautiful pipe organ in their convocation hall.  I heard it several years ago when my daughter convocated.

I'm not a huge classical music fan but here are a couple I have on my phone.

Four Seasons by Vivaldi

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star Variations by Mozart

Here is another song from the '70's that I have on my phone.  This guy was supposed to become a huge star.  I don't think he was as big as was expected , but he had a hell of a voice.

All good classic pieces, nice. I am a really big organ fan and used to keep track of special concerts in Montreal at the big cathedrals with the best organs and players in town and when my uncle was the announcer for NHL at the forum I got to hear the guy play their organ. Must be gone now that they replaced the Forum. Caught a concert in Paris a few years ago but had to listen from outside as I was too late to get tickets.

I'm a big organ fan too.  Wish I had one!

Here is another Nilsson song.  It has an interesting twist.

There's differences between church organs, theatre organs and concert hall organs.
The one in Atlantic City is a concert hall organ. It's intended to replace a whole orchestra. It's run by 8 blowers that total around 600hp.

Here you go Frank, Xaver Varnus plays it properly: https://youtu.be/FHNLdHe8uxY
