It was an afternoon concert .. really a wonderful time.. got some great pics of some if tgd nice ladies that eere in the crowd.
It was quite busy on the roads leaving so I opted to fake the helicoptor tour over Sturgis, that wax an excellent  end fir a very wonderful afternoon.

Next year same helicoptor was flying over the the treetops at Glencoe Campground were we were staying. The motor let out two sharp bangs and went silent, and the craft went down just over a small rise a few hundred yards away. We ran over there. The rotors were wobbling to a stop and the occupants were  crouched and running from it.,  lucky no one got hurt..

Hopefully you all remember the advice columns that used to be a regular feature of daily newspapers.  The most popular were Ann Landers and her twin sister Abigail Van Buren.  Reading their columns was often the highlight of the paper.  John Prine, who I mentioned earlier wrote a parody Dear Abby song back in the '70's.  Here it is.

No one had a sound like these guys in the '60's.  Just two acoustic guitars, great lyrics and amazing harmony.  At the peak of their success they broke up and remained estranged for many years.  They finally got back together and played publicly again, but Phil died a few years ago and Don died today.  This was one of their big hits.

Today is Monday and I got to thinking about all the songs written about Monday.  There's a lot of them.  Try the Bangles Manic Monday, or the Mamas and the Papas Monday Monday.  There are many more, but this one is the one I chose for today.  It brings back great memories of riding across Canada on my Z1B back in the day, and partying without a care in the world.

Today is Tuesday.  There are a lot of songs sung about Tuesday.  Here is one called Tuesday Morning by the Pogues.  The first link is the studio version and the second is live.

Charlie Watts or Rolling Stones fame died today.  He was a drummer with perfect beat and time....just what a performing band needs.  He was the least controversial member.  He joined the band in the early 60's and stayed with them for almost six decades.  This song best emphasizes his drumming from the early days.  RIP Mr Watts.

Such a coincidence! The Guess Who, live of course, on Burt Sugerman's Midnight Special. No mixing. No filters. Just one of the greatest voices in rock history:

I've probably run this before, but it's special. Moody Blues. Live. Royal Albert Hall. London Philharmonic in background. Nights in White Satin:

I have a couple of Moody Blues tunes on my phone.  Ride my See Saw is a great running song.

Today is Thursday and I thought I'd have a hard time finding something written about Thursday.  But here is a song by Jim Croce.

Oh yeah, Moody Blues, one of the great bands, and Nights in White Satin up there with the very best songs ever. Love it. And this being Thursday, I’ve got “Friday on my mind” by the Easybeats.

June and I were able to see the Moody Blues a few years back and I am man enough to say that several songs brought tears to my eyes.
I think I am getting more sentimental as time goes on.  Probably one of the best concerts I have attended in my life.
