Another song from the '60's.  It was made famous by The Archies.  Who would have thunk Wilson Pickett would do it?  Reggae style?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VnylZ8f4hNk

That was awesome.

I can't recall if I've already posted this one but if I have, I apologize.  It's some great insight into how we all feel sometimes.  You may remember Warren Zevon from Werewolves of London.  He was a talented songwriter who wrote for many other musicians as well as for himself.  Unfortunately he died of cancer at far too young an age.

Warren was a hockey fan.  He wrote a song about it.  Here it is.

This guy's been around for a long long time.  This song was one of the first that I remember hearing back around 1968.

That song rings in my memory for the winter I went to art school in Nelson.

Art school?  Tell us more!

This band was hot in the late '70's and early '80's.  This is probably their best known song but only one of many.

Fleetwood Mac was a pretty good group in the '70's.  This song brings me back to those days when I hear it.

I'm dating myself a bit but I remember listening to this song coming from a 4' tall cabinet radio powered by big  dry cell batteries.

Oh yeah!  I remember being six years old, travelling 25 miles to school on a bus and listening to a teenager on the bus singing that song!

This was another song he sang.

Like many of my fellow students at the time, we were studying art so that we could learn to draw welfare.

I liked Fleetwood Mac prior to Buckingham and Nicks joining them, and contributing to a pop sound, rather than the original Blues:

I agree with that, They became a pop group, a very good one too. My favourite Mac songs came around 69 or so.” Albatross “and then “Oh Well”. Not for everyone, but very much in the British Blues style of the day. Peter Green, lead guitar and writer of the early stuff recently passed. I think Buckingham May have replaced him at some time. Can’t figure how to attach tube video with my iPad.

In the late 60s I bought an album called Piper At The Gates of Dawn, by Pink FLoyd.  I didn't like it.  But when Dark Side of the Moon came out a couple of years later I bought it and loved it.  It's probably one of the top 5 albums of the 70's.  I used to do a little hash back then...some stuff I picked up at Rochdale College, a wannabe hippy university in Toronto.  I would hot knife a chunk and then put this song on.
