May of 74 I was somewhere in this mad crowd, absolutely fantastic music. Humble pie where a hit as well as Bad Company and The Who.   https://www.ukrockfestivals.com/charlton-1974.html

Humble Pie, 1974.  By this time Frampton had left, but Marriott still was the front man and the band didn’t miss a beat. Great to watch live, very entertaining. Band.  https://youtu.be/5GvN_-qi9IY

Steve Marriott fronted these guys before Humble Pie, one of the great bands of the 60’s, but they imploded in 68. Just couldn’t get along. https://youtu.be/fayL1WTR1Go

On this day, August 15, 1969, Three Dog Night released the self titled album , also known as the album “One”. The song reached #5 on the Billboard Top 100 for 1969.
Here they are live on the German tv show “Beat Club” , November 1969.

August 16, 1969, 7:30pm-8:30pm, Canned Heat took the stage at Woodstock, playing ‘Fried Hockey Boogie’. After a tumultuous verbal fight 2 days before and permanent quit of the lead guitarist, lead guitarist Harvey Mandel stepped in at the last minute, and rocked the show.
This is the last 10 minutes of their 1 hr performance , with their brand new lead guitarist:

This group is Canadian, and was a real up and comer a few years ago.  Haven't heard much from them lately.  This is a medley of their hit.

August 18, 1977, Dave Mason released the single "We Just Disagree", on the album "Let it Flow". The song became his biggest single as a solo artist, post his stint as a member of Traffic, and #12 on the Billboard top 100 for 1977.

This is a live performance October 1977 on Burt Sugerman's Midnight Special:

"Let it Flow" reminds me of a song by a former member of the Allman Brothers Band.

On this date in 1973, THE DOOBIE BROTHERS released the single CHINA GROVE (August 18th 1973).
Taken from The Doobie Brothers' 1973 album The Captain and Me, China Grove was written and sung by original main singer/songwriter Tom Johnston.
The song reached number 15 on the Billboard Hot 100.

This is their one and only live performance at the German Musikladen on January, 23rd 1974.

This band played excellent music but somehow they never received the recognition they deserved.  This song seems appropriate as we sit watching fires all around us.

Johnny Nash, born August 19, 1940. Here he is singing "I Can See Clearly Now", live, Feb 1973, Midnight Special. The song reached #1 in the USA, Canada, South Africa, France, Iceland, Jamaica. Nash wrote, composed, sang and produced the song solo.

Much better live performance in 1976, don't know where this was. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HbX87g7wzJI

This band was really big back in the late 60's.  The song has one of those intro guitar riffs that you never forget.  It's a timely song based on current conditions in Chase.
