Last night I watched the Eagles 2004 Australia tour...all of their old music and some songs after their breakup.  This is one by Glenn Frey, who died a couple of years ago.  I didn't realize he had written it until the Eagles played it in the concert.

Is the Hell Freezes Over Tour?   I think I have that on DVD somewhere.  I’ll try and find it and give it another spin.

Ahh.  Found it.  It’s the Farewell Tour DVD I have, live from Melbourne.  Not long after 9-11 as I recall.

Yes, it's a fantastic show.  Apparently they are still touring without Glen Frey, using his son as a replacement.

What do you get when you combine Tennessee Ernie Ford with Jeff Beck and Billy Gibbons?  Check it out.

This is amazing!
You can listen to any songs you like on any FM station in the world just by clicking on a green dot.
Some dots in Ireland have great pub songs and the sound quality is very good.

We use the Tunein app which lets you choose from a vast list of radio stations. They have both free and paid subscription service. We listen to the British station Radio Caroline every day from dawn to dusk. By far and away the best radio station out there. No play lists, no news, minimal talk.

I use the CBC app to listen to the Kamloops station.  CBC has some really good broadcasting.  "Q" in the late morning, Under the Influence, Because News....these are all good to listen to when I'm in the shop in the morning.

Here's another oldie but a goodie from someone with a magnificent voice.

Another oldie from someone else with a clean voice...and he's still singing just as good today as in the '60's.

There's been a lot of talk over the years about which band was better in the 60's.  Was it the Beach Boys or the Beatles?  I think it was the Beatles, who were unbelievably productive over the short time they were together.  They kept pounding out album after album with each one better then the last.  When John, Paul and George all sang together they had great harmonies.  But when it came to harmonies even the Beatles couldn't match the Beach Boys.  Here is one of their best songs.

One thing i have noticed about videos with live performance  from the 60,s and 70,s....
Often the audience are real knobs... often most are near expressionless   ... and very few appear to be moved by the music. .  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

And more often than not , it's one of the really great bands you would give your left nut to have seen..... and they sit there looking ready to nod off..
And you feel like shouting.., Don't you know WHO you are watching. .... Shocked

Sounds like you never watched the audience reaction when the Beatles performed on Ed Sullivan!

I loved this band.  Never saw them live but wish I had.  The epitome of rock and roll in the '60's.  This is one of their later songs, but perhaps their best.

Howard I agree., Alvin Lee was awesome....
I also thought Terry Kath from Chicago was pretty good to watch as well.. Grin sadly he was gone by 78.
Alvin Lee died from a complication after I think an operation, about 5 or 6 years back, that wax a real bummer.? Embarrassed
