Ryan, good to see. I have always heard about the reliability of those things and of course the versatility and ease of parts to service. Out of curiosity have you had to put any money into it to repair stuff or has it been simple service and oil for the 50 K. There are some others on the site with similar bikes and I have rode with others that keep up with our street bikes. I do not own one but am highly curious and would sure welcome comments as you just never know...

Seeing that I had my clutch apart anyway, I decided to go all out and install one of those fancy 'slipper' clutches. It doesn't look to be very user friendly, but it might help to keep my left hand warm on those cool mornings.

What's wrong with you two (Glen and Magpie)!!! Those work spaces are way too organized and neat to be of any use.

I like how the chuck key is actually on the drill press table.
I started chaining my chuck key to my drill press so the shop gnomes wouldn't move it when I wasn't looking.

Chain twice, 3 front sprockets, 1 rear sprocket, 3 front tires, 4 or 5 rear tires, 1 spark plug, couple of valve inspections, carb needle shim, 1 headlight bulb, 1 set of front brake pads, bunch of oil changes, changed the vacuum petcock to a normal one, thermobob kit, 1 coolant change, 3 or 4 different seat pads...
The valves have always been within spec, no breakdowns, no flat tires (knock on wood), no trips to the car wash, wheel bearings are good, and one of these days I'll get around to replacing the godawful seat!

Thanks for the reply Ryan, seems fairly basic stuff to me and quite a reliable machine.
