I finished off the intended spring tasks on the Concours: coolant change, new rear tire, rear wheel bearings, rear brake pads, checked valves (only #1 intake needed changing), painted valve cover, cleaned whatever was uncovered by fairing removal (made use of my $20 parts washer), heat-welded tab on fairing belly pan (30 watt soldering iron)......
Now, I guess I should check pads and bearings on front wheel. Also have a suspected leaky water pump seal, will monitor, already have seal and O-rings.
After going through the spring list on the XL250, gave it one kick and she fired right up.......gotta like that....

I put the repaired back tire on and polished the metal parts for an hour or so. Then a short ride down to Britannia and back before the rain came. I wish there was an easy way to polish spokes!

Weather was a surprise today. Sunny! So I went for a ride on the Z1. When I came back I started putting the head back on my B4. The head is sitting on the barrels. Right now I'm trying to decide whether to buy new shiny chrome head nuts or to buff up the old ones.

Hopped on the KLR and took the Chase Connector to Henry's place in Falkland. A little greasy here and there on the gravel segment of the road, just enough to keep the old survival skills honed!
From Henry's we headed to Salmon River Rd which we took to Salmon Arm, then to Sprokket's for lunch and back to Chase. 98.6 miles in total. My clutch has been slipping on the ELR, so we swung by my place and removed the old plates and springs and replaced them with new EBC ones. Will button things up over the next few days and I should be good for another 65,000kms!

Time to check out primer and paint. Funny how the camera turns the greenish paint on the tank to bluish.
