I got ground clearance. Got 4-2 s on this one.. You should see where I went with a nice chrome 4-1. And chrome engine covers..on a very nice bike..

If I'm not mistaken that's a 74 and because of emission laws they slowed down a lot, wheelies probably wouldn't have been an issue, still a fun bike though.
69-72 were the original widow makers, no brakes, super twitchy, and yes shorter wheelbase making them wheelie
prone. 73-75 were more refined, but all had the same hp/tourqe ratings until 76 when Kawi caved to pressure and nutted the bike down to 52 hp from 60.
Actually the H2 and H2A were the same frames, different barrel porting changed the power band but the HP was the same. The 74 had the longer swing arm and cosmetic changes
There were other cosmetic differences between the H2 and H2A but they had nothing to do with performance.
The above info is from the RB triple site.
I was commenting on H1 Bill....as mine is an H1E.
Cheers

I've got H-2 on the brain, still love the H-1's, its was a game changer.
I guess I was
wrong
in thinking you where talking H-1 and H-2's
Wow,that wasn't too hard in admitting I was
wrong
and I didn't try and talk it to death to make myself look right when I was still
wrong
.
How refreshing is that?

Bought this aluminum tailpiece in the rough just because I probably did not have enough to do already downstairs. Looks like after a bunch of grinding, sanding and polishing it will become a work of art or an ashtray for guests. I will let everyone know how it turns out and if it doesn't you likely will not hear further on this.

John,
If it turns out I think we should trial it on my Note-in for a few years - just to break it in for you ready for your beastie.
Just sayin....

Barry I should probably just donate it to you. June was just telling the guys yesterday that I have some sort of focus disorder ( I am sure it has a technical name) Apparently she things I work in items at a lethargic pace in the garage then simply stop and start something else in the garage and completely stop working on something that was near finished. She says I also seem to tear apart things that were in perfect shape and rip them apart for no reason. I don't think she is being very reasonable here as that's why there are 7 days in the week. Just looking at last week I worked on the Blue Z1R, the Norton, the Black Z1R, the Jetta, the Triumph, the lawnmower carburetor, the Audi, the new tailpiece, the motorcycle trailer and still had time for a full ride yesterday and set up the garden lights in the afternoon.
Does anyone else have this so called disorder that June talks about as I don't really see any issues here.

It's not a disorder, it's practicing for retirement......actually, us smart people always have a bunch of things rattling around in our skulls at the same time, and solutions/next steps surface while you are working on something else, so you're mentally obligated to follow
that
for a while.....

I always have at least 3 bikes on the benches and 12 more projects around the house and garden. Suffer wonderfully from this disorder I think.
Janice sometimes abuses me for stopping a project at a certain point when it looks like it could be done and finished but I always have my reasons.
Bear, when are you going to start on that Norton of yours? You need to let me know what you require for finishing it some day or I will forget and use all my spares up finishing mine!!! I am currently riding/working on the '71 750 I have on a collector plate already and enjoying it immensely. So different from the 850, I had forgotten how much zip it has.

In the summer I try and have three bikes on the road and none on the bench, that's what winters for.
