I let the insurance expire on Project GS today.... Yet another downside of unemployment.
That sucks....
I'm sure your will find something!!!
There's a McJob out there for everyone!
I'm going to take advantage of having the bike parked and get the Gixxer1100 carbs sorted and installed on the bike. Received the rebuild kits today so I'm itching to get them ready so I can ditch the worn out stockers on the bike now.

The H1 build is getting closer, just needs the engine back together and a few more small things to be delivered...starting to look good for a rider, hopefully it'll be ready for the August show

Amazing Chris but those bars would scare a brave man on that bike.

Looks good.. I remember a few back in the day with those bars.... Probably. Keeping weight forward to help control wheelies..

If I'm not mistaken that's a 74 and because of emission laws they slowed down a lot, wheelies probably wouldn't have been an issue, still a fun bike though.

Would a set of Higspeeds help the power or was it the carbs that were detuned for emissions purposes? ( just curious only )

Okay with the help of Dale and Kevin on Saturday we finally got the conical hub assembly apart on the Commando in order that I can lace the new stainless Buchanan spokes up finally. Did a bit of polishing the past couple of nights and am now happy with the result and will start the lacing process of the rear wheel to compliment the front that was done earlier. Here is a couple of pics.

That looks really good, John. It'll be perfect with the new spoke set.
Great job.

Thank you Claudio, I am in a tough crowd around here and just trying to keep up. It all started out with a broken spoke and a simple re spoking job several months ago and of course we tend to focus on other distractions and find other things on the bike to play with that were perfectly fine before hand. Its all fun and as long as I have something else to ride I can time my time with a job that would of likely taken a day or two with someone else.
I am pleased with the result and do have to thank Kevin and Dale from getting me out of a conundrum last week so I could go forward with the hubs and rims.
