Changed the tire on the Goldwing and cleaned the shop this week.  A clean area to work again makes me feel like spring.

I polished 1 tube by hand, then took picture. Second picture is the completed job.

   In an effort to hear my child's bike when we ride together, I changed to the, extremely quiet, muffler today.

   ....changes everything.

   ...no more top end..

   ...and a really weird look.



   ..when she moves out, the stove pipe comes back.

    ...my newly motorcycle licensed child, decided that this weekend, demands, our first "Family" motorcycle camping tour..


   ..thus, even though it totally aint my favorite seat, to enhance the experience, I changed to the touring model "throne" that my olde mule came with when it was new back in 1973.

  The added advantage to this exchange, is my soon to be wife gets pushed up against me more, which leads to more groping, at the cost of losing the olde style look that I really dig.

   ....oh yeah, changed intake manifold seals.

Getting close to needing some new rubber on the GS so thought I would pre mount some new tires onto a spare set of rims I have.

Cleaning up the wheels along with some new paint went a long way in making them look more presentable.  Greased up the wheel bearings and now just need to balance them and they'll  be ready to install on the bike.
I always seem to forget what a bitch it is to remove and install tires.   Anyways, they're ready now.

With almost 10G km on the clock, 5g so far this year . . .

. . . I have hit a few rain storms . . . and the Bare Metal is lookin a little patina'd

like rust . . . so will this weekend the focus is on polishing.

Front fender . . . with 5 hours, is 90% done.

Since I'm off work this week, thought I'd get done some of the things I've been putting off.  One of those jobs was to install the wheels with new rubber on the GS750.
Got that done today.  Not too bad of a job, but this incessant and hideous *&^%$#$$ Okanagan heat didn't help matters any. 
I really do dislike this heat with a passion.......but that's another story altogether.
