For a few days - attempting to peel years of clear coat, paint and body filler off a pair of CB750 side covers which are cracked and brittle. I think I'll go with a pair of reproduction ones and put these on a shelf. I will talk to my painter but these are pretty bad.

Took the 650 Eurosport out on two cylinders, came home on one  Angry

The left side ignition pulse coil now has infinite resistance! Yay me!

I think I can swap it without pulling the engine.

Stan didn't beleive me when I told him that mechanical things are like women, you start spending money on them and they start expecting it. Don't spend money and they don't know any better.

New progressive fork springs, polished engine cases, new seat cover, front discs sanded and painted, exhaust removed and cleaned up, bolts plated and forks polished. Couple of more rides and it should hit 50000km mark.

  This is one of the nicest renovations I've seen in a long time. You come across bikes like this that are so nice, you actually have to stop admiring how nice it is, and challenge yourself in trying to see what is wrong. I see nothing wrong with this bike.

All I managed to do today was replace the rear bearings on my Versys.  Thanks Justbike for the great price on them. 

Friendly reminder to all though, sealed bearings don't mean there's enough grease in them.  All sealed bearings these days don't come with enough grease IMHO regardless of brand.

Dam, next time I look at my beast all I'll see is the crap that's wrong, and your right Steve, Trevor's GS is pretty much perfect!!!

Filled the tank.  Had gone 199.2kms since the last fill, last year.  Including the mid-winter startups and riding around the parkade to warm everything up I got 6L/100kms or 39.2 US mpg.  Nice and sunny here... but the sub -10 mornings as a wee nippy...
