I had a couple cold ones with one of mine today, listened to lots of great music, checked out this forum, made a parts to order list and waited for other parts while anticipating summer which can't get here soon enough.
Later, Bob

It was with great disappointment today that I was faced with the fact that the "massaging" that I did on my stock solo seat set up recently did not work out as well as I had hoped..
...it will be shelved for another time, as I kinda dig the idea, using the seat post and t and all, but it's time has just not arrived.
...either that, or the great power in the universe is taking this opportunity to once again remind me that I am destined for mediocrity..
...I forget now and again..
..I returned the seat "arrangement" back to what has worked for me for the last 4 or 5 years, albeit with some unattractive "mods" that I have made to said seat that I can't undo.
I actually got 2 solo saddles, and I massaged them both.
...sheesh.
..."hindsight" is "21/20".
I spend most of the summer and fall collecting parts and "ideas", so to speak, ponder them and more through the winter months, and then "snap" and begin the metamorphosis at the first hint of warm weather what arrives after Christmas..
...once again, in keeping with tradition, I am too hot too soon..
I envy the educated masses whom posses a real "shop" where one may listen to Ray Charles or Foreigner or somethin like that and wrench freely in warmth and light at any givin time throughout the year..
...damn you, damn you all to hell...

My second water pump seal (I wrecked the first one) arrived and I managed to get the engine buttoned back up. Tomorrow I'll stuff it in the frame.

I tor emy Triumph down. It fired and ran the other day but wouldn't run again. It is sputtering but not catching. Fully charged new battery, fresh gas, new plugs? So now the tank is off, the air box is out and the carbs are CLEANED OUT and on the bench.
The Norton fired and ran on the 3 rd kick.
ON a totally unrelated note I watched the Castelgar Rebels take downt eh Beaver Valley Nighthawks this afternoon. Great game and was down to the wire. Rebels won 2-1.

Heard that it was still winter in the Okanagan... so I went for a spin! Nice, sunny and warm here in the banana belt!

$108.9 per liter for fuel?
When was that photo taken?
We haven't seen prices like that at the coast since way back in the twentieth century!

That's the Dash station on 14th st and Northmount NW here in Calgary. I took that yesterday! And it's $1.069/L with discount
We'll see more snow here but there's no shortage of bikes out there now!

Finally got my lazy azz back out to the garage and mounted the wheel back on the Concours this afternoon.
Connie is now sporting a new rear tire and new rear brake pads. Drive shaft splines lubed up and a much needed cleaning took place in that same area. I'm always amazed how much crud can accumulate in all those nooks and crannies.
Noticed that the right hand rider foot peg is cracked at the mounting hole location. Will need to look after that now. Preventive maintenance works well!
