Waiting for parts for the GS so I just hung out with her while listening to great music and looking at youtube videos of rat rods. Just love having internet and stereo in my shop. The other bikes are still tucked away for the winter.

Went to pick up some packages in Point Roberts and bought another CX parts bike. That makes 5 in total now...
This CX/GL thing is becoming less "Funny Ha-Ha" and more "Funny-Peculiar"
I'm scared to turn the shop light off, they might start multiplying.

Finally put the instrument cluster back together, with the re-built tach and speedo, plus checked/replaced all bulbs, painted the bracket, and generally cleaned everything behind the cluster.....years of dust, but not too much grunge.
Now I'm planning (in my head) the build on a bit of new storage, with a lean-to along the side of my shop to the fence-line. People keep talking me into new projects, and they are too nice to pass.....

....oh yeah..
....had a breakthrough ( just suddenly popped into my head ) on how to feed the new stiffer throttle cable into the old casing ( put a "tweek" in it right at the very front millimeter of it so that it would "center" itself around corners ....with occasional "spinning"), so ran it in ( fought with it for most of last fall ), lubed it with a silicone lubricant, swapped cables using a small brass collar for where it goes into the carb and gets squished , changed the throttle control assembly ( better chrome ), changed the speedo drive gasket ( the oil leaks of yesteryear are not "mandatory" ) and broke a cutting wheel, once more illustrating the dangers of too much coffee afore touching my old mule with illusions of alterations of any real magnitude..
...all the while, tunes such as this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ma4dsoviNSQ
played in the background..
...now I'm just lookin at it, and admiring the changes, that are completely unnoticeable.

As much as I hate to,I have to apologize to Al 2 Wheels for blaming him for my Triumph 500 not starting after he fondled it.I only thought that he might have had something to do with it cause some motorbikes are like some women in the fact they can be fussy about whos on their backs.Turns out it was both sparklers had decided to become unfunctional at the same time.Never had that happen before. One,yes but not both,so Al I do apologize, please don't quit the club....
Unless he has some weird electrical robbing parts on his carcass...Hmmmnnnnn.

Well I worked on the tracker a bit..
Cut the engine mounts out of the Ossa, and then was able to slide in a bare set of CB 350 .cases well they go in..but..hit on the top
But I had suspected that, in my pre measuring. At that time I noticed the swingarm pivot is about 2 inches too low
... Iknew I was not in for an easy swap.
Soo.... Looks like I have to lift the swingarm pivot and the backbone (under the tank) 2 inches..now that sounds like fun.. Can hardly wait....
I am gonna blame it all on Paul..

No Peg,I broke the petcock tab before I put new plugs in and 754,I am probabley to blame for your tracker build as I didn't want that 350 brutalized so Karma may be in play, and Henry,I will make you feel better by saying I never thought I was good enough for a Kawi.....splutter cough, gag choke........
