Took my 77 KZ1000 out for a spin to Burnaby Kawasaki.  Rick, the senior mechanic there, was kind enough to lend me his Z1 float level tool (modified drain plug with clear tube).

I had set the floats to 24 mm dry, using calliper.  This resulted in all of the floats being high when verifying using the clear rube method.  I then reset the floats using the clear tube, jumped back on the ZK1000 and returned the toll to Rick.

Beautiful afternoon for a spin.

Cheers,
Ross

Ross, how much did you need to move the floats?

Moved the tang very little.  About 1/2 a mm resulted in about 1.5 - 2.0 mm of float level.

Again Hen?

Pan has 2 drain plugs and the one I got from Ebay had one welded so I tapped it out.
