How many of our group have thought of this?Ditch the idea of going out and murdering a tree for Christmas and bring your favorite bike into your living room.Decorate it up like a riendeer, the handle bars are ready made antlers.Use your imagination to make the face over the headlight and a tail at the taillight end.Re install the battery and turn the key on to impress the children.Red eyes or nose the choice is yours.Plenty of room underneath for gifts(CAUTION)Do not attempt this with any British motorcycles unless the gifts are topped of with an oil tray. The benifits are obvious.Your bike gets to spend a bit of time languishing where it should be,nice and warm, there is no falling needles and you won't have look for a place to dump the dead tree off.Bobbles(Which Evil-K Wood is fond of )can be hung from footpegs, side covers etc.Or,wrap your spokes in minilites.Great idea eh gang?

Some of the guys from the club came by this evening. Shawn, Gord, Peter, and Rob. Removed the head from the kz1000 donor motor and loosened the cylinders. Gord then used his valve spring compressor to remove the springs and valves from both the 1000 and 900 heads. Peter checked the valve stem diameter and seals to see if anything would be interchangeable with his motors.
Had a couple of beers and a few laughs. All in all a good evening.

Sounds like a great time. Reminds me of these guys.

Ross, I would have liked to join the group tonight but needed to be with Mrs Wheels to attend a Christmas function at the seniors home.
Might have to invite you and the others over in January to help me pull the head off the blue Z1R as it has started to develop a British personality this year. I have to wipe a streak of oil from the fins after every ride, fine when its warm but seems to weep during initial startup and ride. Was going to take the easy route and run it up to Burnaby Kawasaki initially but probably fairly simple to do it here plus plenty of support from talking to everyone so should be a breeze.
Hope to see you all at coffee this Sunday and if you are all not tired of Kawasakis yet I hope to lean on you a bit.
