Small rack but pleasantly shaped which I guess is all that matters.

Thanks

Mods should look OEM, like that rack.

I've been puttering the past few weeks on a 1980 Yamaha SR250 single four stroke, mainly dealing with operational necessities, but changing from factory look where practical.   No intention of getting a Collector plate, as it is only a 250, and insurance is not too onerous.  Likely sell it to a beginner biker eventually.

Yesterday and today, installed new steering head bearings, new motocross handlebar, grips, painted/cleaned up perches and handlebar controls.  Forks are out getting seals done (I believe in giving some work to the local bike shops, they give me something off when I buy parts through them).

Already installed chain and sprockets, sonic'ed the carb, new rear brakes, aftermarket turn signals and brake light, used headlight and headlight bracket (most lights were not on the bike.  Naturally, cleaned up each nut and bolt as it came off the bike, replaced as necessary.

Bike was a good runner (fairly low klicks) when I got it, with very little needed aside from battery.   A couple of burns up the road revealed what it needed to be really good.

I guess sort front brakes (ie cleanup), install front fender, then paint tank and side covers, and maybe a new seat (seat that came with it is very good condition aftermarket seat, but friggin' ugly).

Performance mods may happen, but, really, what is the difference between 17hp and potential 21hp on a bike that  weighs 267lbs.
