Working on a set of Z1 carbs today.  Made a list of needed parts and ordered them.  Then went on a ride...towards Salmon Arm.  Good weather...not too hot and not too cold.  Traffic on #1 was light.

Decided to figure out why my Ducati is being very Italian and having a no-spark issue.

Digging around in the harness I found that most of the wiring seems to be missing it's insulation. It's crumbling and falling off.

Looks like I'll be building a new wiring harness shortly.

Crappy Italian electrics. Only lasted 42 years.....

Scotty pulled his 1972 manufactured harness and vapour blasted it.  It looks like new.

Parm, Barry and 754 thank you for the info on the pipes.   Looks like I have found a set of reproduction ones at David Silver Spares and for a price that I didn't have to fall off my chair.  The help from other members on this site amazes me and many of the things I do in my garage could not be done without the help and the assistance and knowledge of many of you over the past few years.
Once again thank you everyone and there are many of you.

Can you put knobby tires on that bike or is it strictly for pavement?
