It started fine with the 28's and idled OK but the carbs were very hard to synch and they had inadequate pressure.  Supposed to have a minimum of 15 cm but I could only get about 12 or thereabouts.  They're off the bike now and I'll tear them down this winter to see if I can get them working properly.  Meanwhile the 26's are performing very well except at low revs from a standing start.  They are properly synched and the fuel screws are set at 1 3/4 out.

Bill,

Another thing to double check, might be your float levels.

Just like Santa...it was on the list and I checked it twice!  It's a messy business at best but I will probably check again when I get at them.

I've thought about this.. Yellow is actually my preference as well. Maybe I'll have to paint a spare tank for the banana look. For now I'm enjoying the blues.

No pics but had a good laugh on the drive home from Timmys tonight.

Saw a couple cops in unmarked Tahoes pull over a 10+ bike "Parade ride" of 1%ers.

Got out for a short ride on the triple but being that I've become a hoarder, according to others,I had a hard time getting the 500 out of the garage so it turns out it's small enough to fit through the hallway.two doors and out the front door...might have to leave it in the entrance from now on  Wink
