Yes, new enthusiastic owners. Very good hosts. They are working on it and we enjoyed our stay. A good friend lives close by too which made it even nicer. Cliff.

I picked up a flat Corbin seat for my KLR so took it for a spin to try it out. Very comfy, wish I had it for the Dawson trip last June!

At the Museum where it looks like the owner, Mark, raided a bunch of dumpsters that were full of Honda tiddlers.  Grin

Rode past Blind Bay, noticed that fewer boats on the lake means that the Albortions are heading back to Albortia.

I have a "seat concepts" on the DR and it really made a difference on the long rides. As I get older I am more likely to spend money for comfort over money for speed. (yep, gettin old).

Here is is a couple pics from the weekend to Victoria and Gabriola Island.  The first water picture is Crofton at the Saltspring Ferry dock, the other water picture is on Gabriola Island.  The motorcycle is our friends 1939 Francis Barnett,  he has too many projects so parked up above,  the car below is a 40 Meteor that he is hoping to restore/rebuild.  The other car is a 65 Chevy Malibu SS with a four on the floor that some day he is hoping may hit the road again.

Met with Tom and his wife for lunch in Duncan yesterday. After, we we trailed the wives, a dutiful security detail as the women lead us along the downtown streets. There were shoe stores, dress shops, stuff, women's stuff. Well, hey the sun was out, the benches warm, and we had things we could talk about, and this had to be worth husband bonus points, so all was good, and so it remained until Tom and I found our faces pressed to the glass of this rip in the fabric of time and space. The girls were forgotten about as fast as the guard dog forgets what it is he's guarding when you toss him that steak. I can see how guys might think this was no big deal, the been there done that, yeah ok, but given the context it was wicked cool to look at shelves of bits and parts I don't need...Norton valve guides, BSA too, an IOM wall hanging thing, Manx cat and all. There was a NOS A50 jug, bolts and screws and books 50's Chevy tail light housings and junk, lot's of glorious junk. The gods of karma had smiled on us for being the good guys.

And Al will be down at Wheelies this coming Sunday for their swap thing....so he gets a free plug, just keeping the karma thing going...

I met up with rz5mark and kaw74 at Barnhartvale and 97 for a quick jaunt to Falkland and back. After owning my bike since new, this is the first time I'd ever ridden with another ELR!

In Westwold I tawt I taw a puddy tat!

3 Kaws - 3 Kerkers, sure sound nice in unison! Cool

A bite to eat in Falklands version of the Rock store. There were Harleys flatulating around outside, we half expected to see Trevor come through the door. Grin

Is that what you call a group of Harleys?

Like "A congress of baboons" or "a pride of lions"

"A flatulence of Harleys"  Grin

Another fine example of onomatopoeia! Grin
