Fantastic day for riding today

Couple of local mountains I used to ride my old XR200 around back in the day, Mt. Sicker and Mt. Prevost. The picture is actually the site of an old mine. I remember as a kid going up there and the same hill climb was there, never did it then, sure as heck didn't attempt it today.

Not much of the old mine left now, but the same clay pits are up there, great for the quads. Tons of great riding though

Don't apologize, people always figure a club named BC Classic Motorcycle Club is all about newer bikes,it's a sarcastic joke.

I went for a spin on my KLR this morning, it's a classic bike... just not a very old one. Wink Henry was out with his dangerous gang of quad-ers today, "The Coffin Dodgers". So I headed up the hills on my own. Grin

At this time of year the mountainsides take on an amazing hue of yellow from the blooms of the Arrowleaf Balsamroot. Apparently these plants have many natural medicinal properties, but I didn't see any Euell Gibbons types out there collecting them.

With this stretch of beautiful warm weather and sunshine we've been having, I thought it would be a good time to take the MacGillivray Lake FSR to Sun Peaks. However, there must have been a ton of snow up there this year because about 5km from there I ran into this,

It was getting deeper and more plentiful up ahead of me, so I'll give it another go next week Smiley

Nice countryside around here, nice to have it right outside my door so I can enjoy an easy and pleasant get-away. Cool

Some how the ATV ran up his leg.
