Took a ride up to D'Arcy (Anderson Lake) for a little pick-nick today.  About 400k round trip from Vancouver.  The road from Mt. Currie to Darcy is a bit more bumped-up than the last time I drove it (last year) but still a great ride.

I'd love to have a dual sport to do just that!  As an aside, I drove my Cherokee up there a few summers ago and somewhere going down the back side of Mission mountain I knocked a hole in my rear dif.  I didn't notice and hence drove around fro a few days (your can probably guess how this is going to end  Smiley )  Sure enough, a few days later going up the hill out of Merritt on the way to Kelowna the rear axle welded itself solid.   Fortunately I was able to make a Starsky and Hutch slide into some guy's driveway to wait for the tow truck.

Took a ride up to Lillooet (the 'Duffy Lake Lo' - only did half  Grin) for lunch today and to break in a new rear tire that I put on last night.  Hooray, the Vulcan tank can go around corners again - the last tire, a Dunlop CruisMax (I'll say) with 38k kms on it was getting a bit square  Undecided

Janice had taken our son to Alberta to see the dinosaur park etc. and on their way back I met up with them Thursday in sick moose. I ran into some guys in Merritt and rode with them on 5a to Kamloops...what a road that was. Then Friday my son rode with me to the dream cycle museum where the 3 of us had breakfast then the tour. My boy wanted to stat in the a/c car and I rode to whistler where we stayed for Friday night. Back to Victoria Saturday. Smiley fudge was it hot!!! My bike topped out at 40.5 degrees!! Shocked

My son Aaronn and I went to a local microwave tower to see the view.
The 1st pic is looking North to Vernon (between the 2 lakes) from the tower.(DSCN4540)
The 2nd pic is looking West to Oyama, about 5 miles south of the tower.(DSCN4545)
The 3rd pic is Aaronn.
