WOW hee...some people need to go for a ride...on there old or new bike...a bikes a bike... relax.
If we where all the same it would be a boring world...I enjoy posting new and old photos of my bikes and seeing what other people have OLD or NEW.
On a different note...took the gpz out last night..to a big ass tree..

The fact that a bike is old does not automatically make it a classic... and the fact that a bike is new doesn't disqualify it for future classic status.

Lots of yellow somethings blooming in the hills around Shawnigan Lake!
And since Triumph markets these bikes as "Modern Classics", it belongs here.

It's a great bike. Handles lightly thanks to the skinny tires, has adequate power (a little over 70hp with the Arrow pipe) and is surprisingly comfortable. Tank range isn't great (low fuel light comes on early, about 140kms into a tank) and the suspension is pretty budget but it's an inexpensive bike so no surprises there. Lots of aftermarket hop-ups available (big-bore kits, tons of shocks/fork upgrades, dual front brake kits, etc) so sky's the limit for making it your own.
Gets tons of attention too... always have someone wanting to chat about it. Many folks think it's a restored classic and are surprised to find out that it's essentially new. Every ride is an event.

My fuel light came on early too with a tune and TOR's. Asked if there was a new map, there was now she hits close to 200 even though it had a map to go with the pipes originally. There are lots of maps for Triumph out there.

Just a little boot up to Harrison and Agassiz after a re-jet and carb clean.

LOL Just to clarify is the cut off for classic 72-76 same as the nostalgia drag racing? The only good thing out of the eighties was Michael Jackson...........hahah just kidding

..the 8's have it in this photo.
There is 8 years difference tween Kurt's bike and mine, and there is 8 years difference tween my mule and my Daughters and Doc's.
1965 1973 1981.
...kinda cool.
..only Doc's bike aint a kicker of the four.
..also, had the opportunity to observe what I reckon is referred to as the "pirate" crowd on this site.
...and to think that I frequently defended that riff raff..
...you will note that they parked quite FAR away from us, also sat FAR away from us, and then somehow seemed offended when I told them that they rode nice lookin V Stars as we were leavin.
.....maybe money can buy happiness..
...I dunno.

Saw this BC collector plated Magna while waiting for the Coho to Victoria from Port Angeles. Didn't get the greatest pic though.

I am honored to be welcomed in a very classic circle ov two in this picture . . . and
that one ov them . . . would speak loudly . . . and in public . . . to those about his belief . . . in the utter lunacy,
ov the culture that they purchased with their credit cards.
I remember the day I rolled into Vancouver, circa '91
Halloween night . . . shortly after the movie Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man was released,
I arrived with my 98 ci shovel . . . kick only . . .
I hadn't watched TV for 6 years, and upon arriving in Van at the house I was staying there was a TV on 18/7/365
On the news one night there was a segment filmed at Trev Delees, a tall skinny accountant,
dressed in his shinny/smelly leather OUT FIT . . . spouting . . . how . . . with his GOLD CARD . . .
. . . purchased a LIFE STYLE.
At the time I drank, smoked ganga, and sigs, and cussed profusely . . .
I think the words out ov my mouth were something like . . .
FALCON PUSSY.
now I know that the NEW MARKET keeps any product alive and on-coming . . .
but I truly understand my Brothers sentiment . . . and
It truly does my heart GOOD to ride SHOT GUN with a BROTHER that rides a Classic Tired Old Iron,
That is a Card That Otta be Dealt With . . . ha Ha . . . And speaks his mind about a passion that . . . drives him.
my perception.
also the Pan Man Kurtis . . .
. . . thanks for your kind/complimentary words ov Brotherly encouragement,
coming from one who built his engine from the crank up . . .
. . . and let me say . . . I love your PAN POTATO.
Ha
If you ever get a shovel . . . I would be honored to build you a frame . . .
. . . OV YOUR DISCRIPTION . . . even though I might try to influence your style choice . . . ha ha ha ha
My saving grace is . . . one day . . . maybe in a couple ov years will have a KICK engineered and mounted on the Roadster . . .
. . . 4 shore.

Thanks, and so is yours. Can't wait to get my little girl into riding like you. We're going to start small though. Thinking scooter in the parking lot.
