The Katana came out shortly after I purchased my Z!R and although I did not have much money in those days there was great thought into trading it in for the Suzuki.  Part of the reason I bought the Z1R is it seemed different at the time and had many new features.  The Katana went one step further a couple years later.     Some folks thought they were odd styling but I still like them to this day.  The little version with the pop out headlight was kinda cool also.   Good looking bike and thanks for the pic.

My wife, Simone, and I went for a tour today on our moderns... passed Trevor on the Malahat on his K-bike with a vintage GS in tow. At least there was one old bike out!

June took out her old 650 four today for a run out to Pitt Lake and back while I pretended to work..   Now she is kicking herself for not taking a pic and will take a camera on the next ride so she can share.    Good to see more ladies joining in and she is happy about that.   Way to go Simone!!

Rode down to the BMW open house BBQ tonight with Trevor and his son... met Glenn there with his sweet Cooley GS. First time I'd seen it! Very nice.

It was a good time, the S1000R naked is pretty damn cool, but it was the R nineT retro that really caught my eye. Having said that though, I'd likely opt for a mint Ducati SportClassic 1000 for half the price of the BMW. *shrug*

Took the long way home to watch the sun set... beautiful night for riding!





Apologies to Trevor for my douchebag riding on the way home... I hate, HATE people who park in the left lane of the highway and won't move over. I'll behave better next time, promise!

We got along fine today! Since Trevor and Glenn were riding their GS's, of course I showed up on my Thruxton instead of the Katana! What a rebel I am.......
