I really like the big rectangular boxes. Where did you get the racks and boxes?

I bought a 2009 versys with them on the bike and took all the accessories  and put them on the 2014 before I traded it in..

Mine are called dirt bags but I would go with Tusk because they are  much nicer and less money.

Glen and Beaver can fill you in more about them if you decide to get a set.

When you mentioned "Dirt Bags" were you talking about the saddlebags, or the riders?   HAR !

New member here, thanks for having me—your man Roy introduced himself when he spotted my Airhead, and I spotted his Guzzi, at Pacific Fasterns in Burnaby last week (where I was getting parts for this bicycle rack I'm making). I've got my '77 R75/7 insured again, and my daily rider, a '78 KZ650 C2, is also with me here in downtown Vancouver. Been enjoying the weather on all types of bikes this sunny March. Fairly new to vintage motos and motos in general, nice to find what appears to be a supportive community close to home.

If you can't get one, make one.

Got the Aspencade on the road today, after a few repairs. I dropped in on my buddy, Brad. He just got his BMW 650 single on the road after spending the winter repairing stuff done by the previous owner. This is the latest we've seen lakes in the valley bottom covered with ice. Nice day for a ride.

ok.  It was Roy's last day of work yesterday.  He has finally retired.  So I reckoned we should starts retirement off well...with a ride of course.

It was a beautiful spring day.  Started out 10C rising too 18C or so.  We (Roy, Bob, and I) left Roy's place at about 9:20, headed out to Fort Langley to meet up with Nico.  Traffic out there was a bitch.  We had a coffee to sort of figure out a plan.  we decide to wind our way out to Mission then ride the roads North of there and work our way back to the King Fisher pub at the old Abion ferry landing for lunch.

We had just crossed the Ruskin demand were riding down the twisty road south toward Hwy 7 (Lougheed Hwy).  I was in the lead. Nico was second.  I was in a bit of zone and hadn't checked my mirror for a bit.  When I did check, there was no one there so I pulled over to wait.  After a few minutes Roy came and said Nico reckoned he had run over something so we turned around.  We happened to come upon Nico and Bob fortuitously just at a small gravel parking area.

I was in there first and when Nico pulled in on his BRAND NEW Harley, I noticed that his rear tire was flat.  Upon inspection we discovered a really f-ing huge fence staple in his tire with only the "u" end showing.  We just barely managed to pull it out, poked in a couple of plugs that Bob had and pumped it up with Roy's pump, while I provided expert advice and moral support.  Anyway we got the job done and had a really nice lunch.

Here's a pic of the staple.  We reckon it was probably in a "u" shape but bent closed after the puncture because the holes (two) were about and inch apart but the ends of the staple were bent together.
