Okay now you got it Dale!

Now we just have to get you a stable of old bikes to show us!!

Don't be afraid to post anything,  If I recall you took a bunch of pictures last summer and fall.  Things are fairly quiet here now so it would be good to see some new/old picks  ( Mount Baker??)

Sounds good.   Ross do you need to pull your motor afterwards?

Not yet, it may not happen till I get back from NZ.  I did however downsize the pilot jets yesterday to #20s.  Seems much better, sounds great.   Less black smoke than with the 22.5s and no popping like with the 17.5s.  The stock size for Z1 pilots jets is 20.  Go figure.

When I first put in the 22.5s, I figured it was best to up size from stock (#20) because I put the header on.  But that was too rich.  I had to down size, but didn't have the next size down on hand, so I put in two sizes down ( 17.5) which was too lean.  So I went down to Bby Kawasaki to order some #20s.  As a check to make sure they ordered the right ones, I took down a set of #25s that I had on hand.  Peter went into the back and came out with a box of many miscellaneous jets, both mains and pilots.  In the vary bottom of the box was a set of #20s.  We did a straight swap and all was good.  How great is that?

The service dept there is awesome.  When I asked about the possibility of a used electronic ignition, they dug around in a box and found one, said "take it home and try it, if it works, come back and make us an offer".  So I did.  Came back and offered $75 bux (plus I brought a box of doughnuts), Peter said "make it $50".  OK, done.

I went back a week later looking for a used clutch cable return spring.  The parts girl went into the shop and looked in a little plastic drawer of springs. There happened to be one.  I asked how much?  No charge.  When I needed different valve shims, we did a straight swap.  No charge.

I will take all of my business there and if I ever buy a new bike, I'll buy it there.

But John, to answer your question, no, not tomorrow.  Rick wants to take it for a spin to make sure we are chasing the right gremlin, but he's been busy.  It may not happen now till I get back from NZ, because I'll be busy too.

See you tomorrow.

Cheers,
Ross
