Steve,
Ya, the weather sucked. Roy & I rode there. Gotta get some heated gloves. I'd never been to that swap before, won't go again. ALL Harley stuff and crappy tee shirts. The biggest booth was for the Hell's Angels. Not my thing. Oh well, live and learn,

Yeah. I've been there before, it mostly for the 'pirates' and other pretenders. I jumped on the Norton early afternoon when it lightened up in north Surrey. It was raining in there, and rode through looking at the 'ilk', decided to save my entrance fee money.

Sounds good. If there's a gathering there, I'll be there. Perhaps I could offer an open house tour of my garage afterwards.

Now you're talkin'!! I love see'in other guys shops. I've been trying to keep a monthly shop night going with little success. Might help if we could change venue once in a while. Would be nice to see other projects rather than my stalled z1 resto.
See you Sunday. Weather forecast is good.
Cheers,
Ross

Good meeting new faces and going for a short ride, the warmth of spring was in the air. No heated vest needed that's for sure.
As mentioned to you lads, I went out and harvested a great hop plant, got covered in mud, and a bunch of muddy dirt in my pannier, part of the fun of it all.
Cheers, Steve

Hey Steve,
Ya, big fun yesterday, nice to finally meet you. Thanks for hosting a garage look-see, you've got a shop full of gems in there for sure. The ride out into the valley, with Ross and Roy, to shake off a long winter's slumber was great too. My first ride of the season. Beautiful day out, capped with a fine pint and growlies at Mission Springs. Glad to hear you found gold at the end of the barley rainbow. We'll have to sample the fruits of your labors sometime
.
Cheers, Rob

Steve, thanks for the tour of your stable. Had great fun carving some turns. Hope to do it again soon. Worked on the carbs from one of my kz1000s tonite. Seems to idle a bit better. I'll work on it a bit more over this week and perhaps take her out on the weekend.
Cheers,
Ross

Hi all,
Thought I'd post a couple pics of last Sunday at the Wired Monk before departing for a ride. Sorry for the poor shots and uninteresting angles, I'll endeavour to do better in the future. Hopefully we get more people coming out to show their stuff as the weather improves.
The first shot shows Rob's FJ1200, Ted's loopframe Guzzi, Ross's KZ900, Roy's Guzzi V11 Sport and Steve's Norton Commando. Eclectic mix, no? Variety, as they say, is the spice of life!
See ya'll Sunday morn, Rob

Garth,
Thanks for the "twist of the throttle" video. Lots of great info. Reinforces some of the stuff I know and lots of stuff I didn't.

May not make it to coffee on Sunday. It being the long weekend, Roy and I are heading over to the Island tomorrow to visit Nico. Weather and road conditions pending, we may ride down through Port Renfrew via Cowichan Lake on Saturday. Weather should be awesome, not sure about the road. Maybe snow? Certainly there will be loose gravel on the sides. Maybe come home Saturday, maybe stay in Victoria for the night, not sure yet.
