We had a week of -30 to -37 but it's up to -14 this week and supposed to be a little above zero in the coming weeks. It's been a very mild winter, only about a foot of snow too.

Problem is, we need the snow. We only get about 30cm of precipitation per year out here and most of that is snow. I need my irrigation pond full for next summer.

My relatives are farmers just north of Saskatoon.  They say that although last year they had very little rain.  But it did rain at all the exact right times and they had record crops

It was really weird last year.
I could watch storms go right around us. A few miles away it wold be raining and it was dry an sunny at my place.
The guy who rents my field got a little over half of what he was expecting but a guy 5 miles away said it wasn't even worth burnign the fuel to get his crop off so he left what he had in the field.
