On again, off again. The arrangement to see the cb750 is now delayed until Monday. I’m beginning to wonder if it exists. But I’ll persevere.
Well, I got it. It’s not a ‘76. It’s a ‘75. Which is what I wanted. Needs a lot of help. The good news is that it’s all there, and all original except of course, the exhaust. The seat pan is turning to dust. One of the fork ears has a rust hole. There’s rust inside the tank but not bad. The carbs at stuck solid but the motor turns. The brakes work, not seized. The chrome is mostly really, really good. No dents in the tank. Left side cover is broken. Has the original tool kit and owner’s booklet. 23,000 miles.
I reckon this bike is a keeper. I had a ‘75 CB750 in ‘77 when I met my wife so there’s a bit of sentimental value. I probably paid too much for it, but I wasn’t about to let it get away from me for the sake of a few hundred dollars. I paid $1100 for it.

You didn’t overpay Ross. You did well. Observe what is happening with post sandcast small tank 750’s. They have been discovered by serious collectors. Much like the tiny Hondas, they are moving up seriously.
Now that you’ve gotten your permanent classic, We will have to ask Honda corporate to change their iconic and effective sales pitch.
“You Meet the Nicest People on a Honda”.

Looks pretty good for $1100. If your happy about the price you paid, then you haven't paid too much.

Good news is, it's a Honda so everything should be available.
David Silver Spares has tons of NOS Honda bits and their shipping is fast and reasonable, even if you have to get it from their UK location.

Ya, not a bad selection of parts. In many cases, cheaper than from US outfits. I could even get a repro exhaust. With shipping and hardware, it would only cost about $2400!

I have one you can borrow not sure what "D" size is mine has adapters for different spark plug threads. I can bring it to the Fort tomorrow, assuming the group is meeting at the Fort, if someone can relay it to your place.

The Fort always works for. I will be seeing Ross on Tuesday and can pass it off to him then. Kurt

And if later you decide to remove the carbs (as a block) I have a larger Ultra Sonic cleaner that might ease the task of cleaning them ! Peter
