I guess Kurt is already going to the Fort so that will work, shelter is available so we can stay dry.

There was a consensus at Wednesday coffee to ‘investigate’ a winter indoor Sunday coffee location. This consensus has thrown out the Tim Hortons on 96th Avenue at 199Street. It is a bigger area than usual as it has a combined seating with Burger King.
I understand that Timmy’s offends some residents of BCCMC, so I offer a snow flake capable comfort station which Timmy’s has set up for us.
Any feedback would be lovely. Fort Langley Fort parking lot covered tables were a great fill in for us stalwarts during the bug lockdown, but there have been Sunday regulars who are quietly longing for a warm place to sip coffee and b/s. We lost at least 3 decent coffee shops to bankruptcy during government lockdowns, a shame.

A number of reasons I don’t generally patronize Tim’s. The coffee isn’t particularly good in my opinion, but I will drink it if pressed. The service generally sucks, difficult to understand most of the servers or to be understood. Long lines, slow service.
Having said that, if the consensus is that a particular Tim’s is a good option/location, I’m ok with that.

Can we take over the courtyard area in Saba (Ft. Langley) like we did early in the Covid protections? We got booted out when group size limits and distancing were enacted.

Timmys works well enough for me and I think that the 96ave/199st location would be well worth an exploratory visit - just to check it out.

Timmies works for me, however I don't think my vote counts as my winter attendance will be spotty at best due to the colder weather - I enjoy riding to coffee but once the brine hits the roads, my bikes are in storage, and driving out is too much of a chore. Miss the company.

I spoke to the owner of Joy of Coffee which is about 1/2 mile away from Porters Store where we used to gather in Langley. Told her there are 8-12 of use who gather for coffee every Sunday from 8:30 to 10:00 or later and we are coffee drinkers not big paste eaters.
She said "Come on over, we don't usually get busy until after 10:30 and it would be great to have you here."
It has a table that could seat ten of us.
What do you think??

Throughout the Pandemic I used the Timmy's drive through on United Boulevard, you just need to fit the bike with a cup--holder and something to hold your paper bag with sandwich or breakfast bagel.

If you are coming from the west, take the new 216 st exit and head south, turn right at stop light at railway tracks, left at stoplight ny Husky gas station, left at stoplight just past the airport and right at stoplight on top of the hill on 222 st . Joy of coffee is in the mall on your left.
There will be a memory test five minutes after you read this.

I have never been to “Joy” and have been to Timmies, with its average coffee, which I do drink, but under protest; so as a test Joy gets my vote for this week at least.

So,,,,basically, it’s kittie-korner to Langley Memorial Hospital. And if you don’t know where the hospitals are, it’s too late!!!
