  You guys find those trees were dropping pitch stuff over everything? Helmet and black paint covered in the S#*te.

Steve, believe it or not, that’s aphid sh*t.  A huge problem in many places that have those types of trees.

Thanks Steve.  I thought I was going crazy when I got home and saw all of the spots on the bike that would not come off with a simple moist rag and initially noticed the fuel cap as it was not blemished when I arrived at Fort Langley even after a few bits of rain.   That all makes sense now and I guess we have to park out a bit further than the curb from now on.
Geez first getting banned from the coffee shop for a year then the dam mosquitoes and now Aphid Sh** on our bikes.
Well at least the tourists there are humorous!
