June has me doing Gyproc tomorrow downstairs, likely I will have coffee here next week after I screw it all up to save a few bucks and get it redone.

If you do it poorly enough, you'll never have to do it again...

I went for a casual motorcycle ride today ( Saturday). Craziest times I’ve ever seen in my 60 years. I can only imagine what London during the blitz was like. I actually conducted a search mission to check out the status and human activity at my local Save on foods. I’ve decided I’ll go there just before closing time at 8 tonite .
My workplace has been turned down to skeleton staff. 6 have been sent home for 14 days apparently because they are 2-3 people away from some who had a cough or a headache. Very strict zero tolerance . Everyone has had to wear gloves and if close to customers, masks. I’m a bit of a germophobe so have for years used knees, feet, elbows etc to open doors, hold my breath walking behind people, weird stuff for sure, habits I’ve garnered from looking after family that had gone through cancer therapy causing reduced immune systems.
Myself and 5 others have been laid off for lack of work. First time since June 30/78 I’ve actually applied for EI benefits. The Canadian government website is a pitiful cluster-@@@@ of trace lines going nowhere, and very frustrating. About time I ‘get some back’ for all I’ve paid in.
My bumblebee is running as good as it ever has since I bought it new in late 1990. I shall observe weather conditions for tomorrow’s ride, and will say that if I’m not at Fort Langley at 9 am you guys should head out.

Got to be over 65 to take advantage of that.
Very strange shopping experience. Everyone giving everyone tons of room, except a couple loud mouth red necks all tatted up right up to the ears. I was maybe in the 40% that had nitrile gloves on.

I too checked out the Gov't Website regarding E:I. Since I'm only part-time, and looking over that minefield, I'm not sure I want the aggravation for the pitiful sum I'll receive. My H.R. lady at work suggested I drop by next Tuesday and we'll look over the site together to see if it can be unraveled. Not getting my hopes up.
BUT, I did get out for a ride today, just to clear the cobwebs.

Made it to Glenn Valley and the LeMans broke down.
It's finally broken enough that I can diagnose it. Looks like I've got a failed ignition coil for the left cylinder.
I had previously swapped out the ignition pickups and I thought it had cured the intermittent problem on that side, today it died entirely and I limped it home where I changed out the Dyna III module for a spare I had. Still dead on that side.
Going to replace the coils now, should fix the issue. I think they're the same coils they use for the Kawasakis.

Holy crap they're proud of those coils. $200 for a pair.
Tested mine with a meter, yup, it's dead Jim. One is 3 ohms, one is zero. Must be shorted internally.
Time to spend my way out of this.

Sometimes it takes a complete failure of a component to find the problem, and it looks like you have it figured out, but why can't that happen in the garage, not out on the road. Otherwise, how was the ride today. Had good weather for it. My insurance expired on the 850 Thursday. Got a couple of short rides in before then to blow out the cobwebs from winter layover. I decided not to renew just yet, not sure where this C19 thingy is going to take us, and I may need those dollars in my pocket. Marie is still working, for now, but expects next week to be the last for a while. I have been trying to practice the distance, 2 meters thing, but it seems others do not. When the weather is good I go for a walk every morning in the Delta water shed. I have noticed a pattern. A certain gender does not keep distance, a certain cultural demographic does not recognise it either, age plays a lot into it as well, they just don't care, and what is it with dog people, I now it is your baby, but keep it and yourself away from me. Pox on you. Anyway I am not venturing into the watershed anytime soon. If I need to go for a ride it will be pedal powered, and in an area where I can keep my distance. I guess I will see you guys when it is all over, hopefully soon. I can only stay inside for so long before going nuts. Stay safe guys. John.

Even when you think you are following the rules the TP police bite you.
Yesterday morning we had a planned and deliberate route for groceries and supplies and back home quickly.
Junes friend arrived from India on Friday and is doing the two week isolation thing. Linda gave June a list over the phone and while at Save On we thought we would pick up a few sundries of our own including dinner.
Linda needed TP and we were lucky as they were just stocking the shelves so we grabbed one for her then June suggested it would not be a bad idea to grab one for our household.
Now the problem is we got to the checkout and were using one cart so obviously we were together however purchasing for two families. It was at that time that the TP Police came by and took the second object away and even after June pleading about the isolated person she did not budge. The cashier apologized and that was not necessary as it was not her problem.
Going forward I will dispatch one of my trucks to Save On and use my trusty Smith and Wesson (no bullets in gun) to hold everyone at bay while we load the unit to capacity.
The goods will then be available to the BCCMC from my warehouse for everyone except those that dont give a S#*t!
