Lorne passed away last night ( the 20th) @ about 12:30 AM. He'd had a very bad previous night and day, extreme pain that could not be controlled. I am saddened, relieved, angry, depressed, happy, confused, numbed. The funeral is Monday.

I may be back for coffee on Sunday, for sure the next one. I've missed home so much.

See you all soon,
Ross

I am relieved his suffering is over and I am happy for him that he had family who cared so deeply.

Ross,  our condolences from June and myself to you and your family.

What an amazing brother you are to your family,  that tells us a lot about you as a person.

Hang in there and look forward to seeing you again when the dust settles down.

Glad you were able to be there with him, nothing is as important as family.

Be happy for all the time you had with your brother.

Other than a few quick email exchanges between you and I for this year's calendar, I don't know you.  I've never even met you.  I can say that you being there for your brother during this time speaks mightily of your character.

My sincere condolences to you and your family Ross.

Ross, when I heard you were travelling to Calgary to be with your brother for his last days, it told me everything I needed to know about you.
That you made it possible to be there so you could complete with him before he passed is an inspiration to others.

I got to look at my relationship with my older brother Noel, we were very close for years and travelled together through Africa on motorcycles, about 3 years ago we had a falling out.
I had not spoken to him for at least 2 years and I got on the phone with him shortly after you left to be with your brother.

He was very relieved and happy that I reached out and we had a good catch up.
Thank you for reminding me how important that relationship is to both of us.
Be well and look forward to seeing you when you return.

Regards,

David
