Well, I've had my bank account raided and emptied twice in my lifetime,,,,,,,,both times it was when my Norton broke down for indefinite periods.

Now I never take anyone on my Norton. Cheaper.

Not motorcycle related, but very interesting. Bald and Bankrupt travel series, Englishman Benjamin Rich, has conducted a travel blog starting in 2018. Fluent in many languages, he started his blog on the Indian sub continent, followed by extensive travels into ex Soviet backwaters. He got caught by Russian police when he infiltrated the location of the Soviet copy of the Space Agency on a military base. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-61373057

I think he's now banned from Russia.

Here's his latest episode, travelling from Caracas to the U.S. border to follow the route many are taking:

El Camino Motorcycle series, hosted by Cdn Moto journalist  Neil Graham  , has been running on REV TV Canada the last couple years. This is the open trailer, but YouTube had the entire series, quick and easy search finds it, and there is a lot of classic motorcycle exposure.

Back in 77 I worked at a place that did upgrades? to cars. One morning there is a wierd looking car parked in the shop, on a trailer, painted red white and blue. WTF is this thing, and why is it here. Boss says it belongs to a friend of his, and the plan is it will jump the St Lawrence seaway, maybe. Now why would anyone do this. Evil Knevil had done his attempt of the Snake river and this was a way of going one up on that. Anyway, it didn’t go that year, for what ever reason, and I had forgotten about it until last Wednesday, when we got to talking about knevil and his jumping with motorbikes, and then rocket cars. I can’t find anything about the car I saw in 1977, but this comes up on utube, and I believe it is the same group of people, or maybe idiots.   https://youtu.be/Zrks7wztUWw?si=j3wmeRcI_LkVV1J2
