   Zak Courts road tests the very first adventure bike, the BMW R80G/S. Panned when first introduced, this one motorcycle spawned this category,   now responsible for a baby boomer extension of motorcycling in general, and now sub categories from the original concept.
 Many thanks to Moto Laverda for building the 1st prototype of this bike, which BMW adopted right away.

  Moto Guzzi finally debut's their new way forward.  The V100 Mandello. The 1st liquid cooled v-twin. Appears to be a full unit power train. Euro 5 compliant. New frame platform.
  I'm not completely enamored with the visuals on this particular model. For sure there will be more models. I don't like the visuals on the exhaust coming out sideways from each pot. Ugly as S#*te exhaust.
 Oh, and the dude mis-pronounced Moto Guzzi at least 35 times.

Enjoyed the video on tires.  A few weeks back I rode my S1000rr down to the Columbia Gorge.  All was good riding, passing long strings of trucks and rv's in short bursts, until I got to the Klickitat Grade.  Pretty warm, they had just patched road and the first corner with tar snakes my bike felt like a well-oiled hockey puck on ice.  Had to back waaaayyyyy off.  Great riding road but not without traction.

For riders who enjoy speed and adrenaline, this video is interesting with facial expressions to denote what how pilots counteract G-force:

Crazy Fast,  consistently running around 15,000 rpm the engines sound like sewing machines.  Making passes on those roads???  I know I personally have great limitations.!!!!!
