Yes, I know, this is a vintage/classic bike forum. But we sit here in bat flu lockdown, too cold to motorbike ride, gotta do something.

The Ducati Monster for 2021. It has lost it's lovely trellis frame, it's lost it's smooth basic lines. Crunched up tank. Tank decal approaching 50degree incline like riding over a cliff. It's lost most of it's engine visuals behind ugly plastic. Now universally ugly exhaust system, looking more like a kidney, liver, and bowl, complete with discharge exit. It has become a polarizing visual exercise, now love or hate visually.

Convince me otherwise, that this new Monster is a step up visually?

Never seen that before.  Is that some kind of mechanically driven 2 stroke valve?

Inertia driven governor that opens exhaust port broadening the powerband. Conservative exhaust height at lower rpm and larger exhaust port gradually opening with climbing RPM. Stock RD350lc, 47HP next generation RZ350 59hp including broader powerband. Competition 2 strokes have had varying styles since the early eighties .Kawasaki's system was complex and not fun to service. (maybe Honda designed it for them ?)

That Ryan dude always does a good job.  No exception with this video.

The pivoting front caliper from Honda is quite interesting and imaginative for sure.  I wasn't aware of that particular design.,,,

Maybe its just me , but I find the sound of an engine pinned to the rev limiter ..very annoying..  Tongue
Not so bad at the drags   it's only a few seconds...

I've got a suspicion that it's a special rev limiter with a couple of settings, one very low for stunts and the other for normal max rpm.
