I'd rather get roosted than hear banjos on a camping trip.

That's amazing!  No longer any need to skulk on ebay looking for that special part!

Good plug for Dream Cycle too. I see Glen's ELR, also beautiful.

IMO, (and of course visual cues on anything are a personal view on anything, only backed up by majority perspective)  an ELR, and a 916 Duck are far more visually appealing than either the Katana or the Indian. The Indian front 1/2 works. The rear of the Indian with that remote license plate bracket is a disaster. I was actually thinking about being a possible owner of one of these, rumour of flat track styling got the interest. A real disappointment.

Different strokes for different folks..
I don't even find the Duck very interesting,  barely a passing glance for me.. surprised its rated that high..
But then it's for people with a different genetic makeup.. that I suspect are not into major restyling to get what they like..
Not to mention , a lot harder to mod some modern or exotic stuff, much , much harder..
Now the Indian I sort of like mostly ... having one thing hit by the Fugly stick ..... is pretty easy to overcome..

I appreciated  his comments regarding the lines and flow of a bike, it matters greatly if you are custom building a bike.
A lot of people don't have a good eye for it.. I tell them try the part on the bike.. walk back 15 or 20 feet..look at it and walk around it.. does it fit it, does it help or hinder... ir need a little tweak to be sweeter..
Those that dont, end up with crap, piled on crap , piled on crap... a messy build , and a lot of money gone... keeps tte shops in business though..

Just rambling a bit as I am stuck here...

The sidecar fitted Galimberti was at the Vintage In The Valley show at some point.  Extremely unique and quite a looker, at least for me.

And yes, the 916 works really well for me.

I certainly respect general majority view of feedback on visual perspective. I don't own a 916. Never would at this point, certainly all belt drive Ducatis. If I had tons of cash, there are certain bevel drives I'd be all over. But my lack of luck with bevel drive Ducati's has been literally epic, mechanically  and environmentally catastrophic. That said, majority view certainly recognizes the Massimo Tamburini designed 916 as one of the epic 2 wheeled machine designs in history. I respect that Tamburini ownership of epic Honda superbikes of the late 1980's used as inspiration for the epic visual 916 design makes the story all come together.
There is certainly a reason why collectors are now clamoring for unabused 916's, and are looking the other way for later, Pierre Terblanche designed,  Ducati 900SS's, which are majority recognized as having fallen severely out of the biggest of ugly trees.

The best part about the 916 is it also delivers. Ride one at  an 8/10 pace down a twisty back road and it’s “bliss”! Even after 25 years! Ya gotta love Italian bikes. I also really like the Katana and would love to have one. To the me the 1967- 70 Triumph Bonnevilles is also near perfect.
